The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday issued notice to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to submit reply over bail pleas filed by Khawaja brothers in Paragon housing case.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique submitted petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking bail in Paragon housing scam case.
The petition stated that the accused were arrested by the National Accountability Bureau but the institution was failed to prove allegations.
Khawaja brothers have provided complete records and completely cooperated with the anti-corruption watchdog during the investigation process, the petition stated.
An accountability court in Lahore on Friday approved extension of 16-day judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Khawaja brothers were presented before the accountability court’s judge Syed Najamul Hassan today after completion of 14-day judicial remand.
The court directed investigation officer to submit final challan in the case while it also approved remands of Khawaja brothers till March 4.
