The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday reinstated Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Chairman Rashid Ahmad to his post.
The Supreme Court has issued notice to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) chairman, Islamabad police and court reporters association over the case pertaining to the selective coverage of full court reference. A notice has been issued to the acting chairman of PEMRA, as well as the information secretary and the establishment.
The summary sent to the President House also mentions financial irregularities as one of the reasons for his removal. “Chaudhry Rashid has no justification to challenge his sacking in the court of law,” added the minister.
