    National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has said on Tuesday that corruption-free Pakistan is the priority of the department.

    NAB chief presided over a meeting of Nab officials today and expressed resentment over alleged non-cooperation of state institutions in corruption probes.

    Justice (r) Iqbal warned government officials of pursuing legal action against them in case of non-cooperation. He hinted action under section-33B and 33C of NAB rules.

    NAB is responsible to look into corruption cases, contracts and agreements worth up to Rs 5crore. He directed officials concerned to ensure that the government departments file copies of all agreements with NAB for scrutiny.

    During the meeting, NAB chief urged the officers to promote merit and transparency.
