    Foreign Office (FO) on Saturday confirmed the list of Pakistanis who died in Libya boat tragedy, naming those whose bodies have been recovered and identified.

    According to the FO spokesperson Mohammad Faisal, rescued boy Daniyal identified eight bodies. Four people from Gujrat died in the tragedy. One person from Sargodha while four from Mandi Bahauddin lost their lives in the tragedy.

    Faisal tweeted that among the 18, eight bodies were recovered and identified, four were recovered without IDs but identified by friend, and four had no identity verification at all.

    It was reported yesterday that an estimated 90 migrants may have drowned off the coast of Libya after a smuggler’s boat capsized, leaving three known survivors and 10 bodies washed up on shore. According to the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), survivors told aid workers that most of the migrants on board were Pakistanis, who formed a growing group heading to Italy from North Africa.
