Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that Pakistan is able to shoot down the unmanned aircraft.
Speaking at the local Chamber of Commerce on Monday he said that number of US drone strikes had decreased in Pakistan after strong condemnation. The minister said that Pakistan did not want war with India as both the countries were holding talks at every level.
He said that the drone attacks were not sole cause of terrorism as there were some more reasons to the phenomenon.
The minister denied presence of Taliban’s base camp in Punjab and said that strict action would be taken if any such groups were found in the province.
He expressed government’s resolve to complete Pak-Iran gas pipeline project, adding that duration of load shedding would be decreased.
