Former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has left for London today (Wednesday) to see his ailing wife Kulsoom Nawaz who has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
Sources have revealed that doctors are waiting for the results of some important skin and other tests of Kulsoom Nawaz, and her chemotherapy will begin by the end of this week or the start of next.
Nawaz will reach London via flight EK-625 of a private airline, and is expected to stay there for ten days. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will also conduct a rally in west London during his visit.
Nawaz will celebrate Eid in London with Kulsoom Nawaz. His two sons along with other family member are already in London.
Nawaz’s two sons Hussain and Hassan are also living in London. Nawaz is expected to return after Eid.
Maryam Nawaz is running election campaign of his mother in his absence for NA-120 elections. Yesterday, she formally launched the campaign by opening central elections office of the party.
The NA-120 seat fell vacant after Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz in Panamagate case on July 28, 2017.
