  • PM Sharif invites Zardari to meeting of parliamentary parties

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned former president Asif Ali Zardari and invited him to the meeting of the heads of parliamentary parties scheduled to take place on Monday, citing sources.

    Sources said that PM Nawaz Sharif and the PPP co-chairman discussed the prevaling political situation situation of the country.

    The human rights violation being carried out by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir were also discussed between the prime minister and former president.

    According to sources, Zardari informed PM Sharif that Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will attend the meeting called by the prime minister.

    It should be noted that the PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is out of the country for quite some time.

    According to details, PM Sharif has convened a meeting of all the heads of the parliamentary parties in the federal capital on Monday.

    The key representatives of all the major political parties of the country are likely to be present in the meeting. They will be briefed on the prevailing situation at the Line of Control and Indian hostilities in Occupied Kashmir.

    A statement by Prime Minister’s Office stated that it will be the collective voice of all parliamentary parties in reiterating the country’s moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right of self determination and reaffirming the national resolve to make our national security impregnable.
