    Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) meeting in Birmingham was cancelled on Saturday due to security reasons. PPP leader Faryal Talpur said that PPP will protest on not being allowed to hold public meeting in Birmingham. Workers and police were also seen pushing each other on this occasion. Kashmiri organizations also raised ‘Go Bilawal Go’ and ‘Go Majeed Go’ slogans outside the meeting venue on this occasion.

    PPP took a month of preparations for holding this meeting at New Bingley Hall, Birmingham but the administration stopped them from holding the meeting in view of the security threats. When workers arrived at the venue, police stopped them from entering the hall which caused mismanagement too. Workers and police were also seen pushing each other. Central leadership of PPP was due to speak at the event but Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari’s speeches got cancelled due to security threats. Other leaders also left the New Bingley Hall after learning that the central leadership was not going to address the meeting. Holding a press conference on this occasion, Faryal Talpur said that PPP will protest for not being allowed to hold the meeting. Kashmiri organizations also staged protest outside the venue and raised slogans of ‘Go Bilawal Go’ and ‘Go Majeed Go’.
