Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Mohammad Ibrahim on Wednesday penned a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.
According to details, the PHC CJ had complained of being "ignored" in line with the appointment of the SC judges. "I am penning this letter on favouritism with a heavy heart. There were four posts that were vacant in the SC."
"You have done only one appointment from your own province, Balochistan," he said.
Chief Justice Ibrahim maintained: "I am not challenging the decision, but only want to draw your attention in this regard."

Separately, Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan had become the latest recipient of a threatening letter, raising concerns about the safety of judicial officials.
According to the Registrar's Office of the Lahore High Court, the letter received by Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan contained both a suspicious powder substance and threatening content.
This comes after four other judges of the Lahore High Court, namely Justice Shujaat Ali, Justice Shahid Bilal, Justice Aliya Neelam, and Justice Abid Aziz, received similar threatening letters in recent days.
In response to these threats, forensic teams, along with officials from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and the police, have been dispatched to the Lahore High Court to conduct a thorough investigation.
Preliminary reports suggest that the powder found in the letters sent to the judges may be anthrax, although the definitive nature of the substance will be confirmed only after laboratory analysis.
