Security forces foiled a major terrorism plot on Friday and seized a huge cache of arms and explosives from Balochistan during the Operation Rad-ul-Fasaad, military media wing ISPR said in its statement.
The ISPR said that intelligence agencies acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in different parts of Karbala and Pishin and arrested six suspected terrorists while five hundred kilograms explosive material which would be used in terror activities.
“The huge cache of arms including suicide jackets, mines, submachine guns and other communication tools were recovered,” ISPR said. He said a suspect was arrested during the raid and was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Quetta, the capital of insurgency-hit Balochistan province, has been plagued by rising sectarian violence in recent years.
