  • Chaman: Tense situation prevailed as several villages evacuated

    The tense situation being prevailed at Chaman border as more military contingency has arrived here, while Pakistan Air Force (PAF) ordered to ready to cope any uncertain situation.

    The Balochistan’s provincial disaster management authority (PDMA) has  said that 19 PDMA trucks carrying relief goods had reached Chaman to ensure the provision of basic commodities, tents and blankets to the affected families.

    Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chaman Qaisar Khan said residents of villages located at the border had been instructed to evacuate.

    “Announcements in mosques have been made and pamphlets have been distributed in this regard,” the DC said.

    According to sources heavy guns and tanks have also been reached near the Chaman border. The security personnel are deployed important state buildings and thoroughfares leading to borders.
