The security arrangements for Youm-e-Ashura procession in Quetta have been finalized.
More than 5,000 police officials, 2,000 FC personnel and large contingents of Balochistan Constabulary and ATF have been deployed to maintain law and order and meet any untoward incident during Ashura procession.
All shops and markets on the route of Ashura procession have been sealed while 80 CCTV cameras have been installed. Control rooms have been set up in CCPO Quetta and Commissioner offices to monitor the situation.
Meanwhile, motorcycle riding in the city will remain banned till 12:00 midnight while PTCL and mobile phone services will also remain suspended.
