Snow on mountains and rains accompanied with gusty winds with occasional gaps are expected in upper parts of the country, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad, from October 14 to October 17.
The wet spell will bring chill in the air and drop the temperature significantly, the Met Office said.
A westerly system is likely to enter upper parts of the country on October 13 (evening/night) and likely to spread to upper/central parts on October 14 (night).
Under the influence of this weather system, rain-wind/thunderstorm (moderate to isolated heavy falls) with isolated hailstorm is expected in Islamabad, Potohar region, Murree, Galiyat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Noorpurthal, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang and Kasur from October 13 to 17.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm is also expected in Layyah, Bhakkar, Kot Addu, Sahiwal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan from October 16 (evening/night) to 18 with occasional gaps.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm (moderate to isolated heavy falls) is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Swabi, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kurram, Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan from October 13 (evening/night) to 17 with occasional gaps.
Snowfall over the high mountains and isolated hailstorm in plains of KP have also been forecast.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm (moderate to isolated heavy falls) is expected in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Snowfall over high mountains is also expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
