    The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has imposed a ban on the University of Lakki Marwat from initiating new admissions and establishing affiliations. Following an in-depth inspection on September 21, 2023, the HEC identified significant irregularities and blatant violations of its guidelines, criteria, and policies within the University of Lakki Marwat.

    The observed discrepancies were deemed detrimental to the overall quality of education provided by the university. As a result, the HEC has implemented this ban to address and rectify the issues at hand, ensuring that the university aligns with the established standards and maintains the desired quality of education. This measure underscores the HEC’s commitment to upholding educational excellence and compliance with established guidelines across higher education institutions in Pakistan.

    “Accordingly, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Therefore, all the stakeholders are being cautioned not to take admission or seek affiliation with the University of Lakki Marwat, Lakki Marwat.”

    “Moreover, it is publicly announced that there is a country-wide ban on granting of fresh affiliations by all public sector universities as well vide this office letters No. 15(18)/A&A/Acc/HEC/2022/327; dated 23-02-2023; & No. 15(18)/A&A/Acc/HEC/2022/460; dated 19-06-2023,” the notification issued by HEC read.
