At least five suspected terrorists, affiliated with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), have been killed in a drone strike carried out by the United states on Saturday night in Paktia province of Afghanistan.
According to the details, the US drone fired several rockets on the hideouts of the terrorists in the Afghan territory. All the five deceased terrorists were affiliated with TTP and were involved in cross border attacks, said the sources.
It is pertinent to mention here that as the Pakistan Army launched operations against the militants, most of them were killed or apprehended and some flee to Afghanistan where they got safe heavens. The terrorists are also involved in cross border attacks on Pakistani check posts and bomb blasts in different cities of the country.
