  • PSL 2017: Peshawar Zalmi beat Quetta Gladiators by two wickets

    Shahid Afridi played a historic knock to please his supporters and cement his sides position for the Play Off in PSL 2017. Zalmi beats Gladiators by 2 wickets while 4 balls were remaining. Zalmi player, Asghar declared Man of the Match.

    Chasing 129, Peshawar lost their opener tamim cheaply on 7 runs. Kamran Akmal made 26 on 30 balls. Samuel scored only seven runs.

    Sohaib maqsood and Captain Sammy failed to score. Shahid Afridi shown his class while batting bravely. He scored 45 runs on 23 balls.

    From Quetta Gladiators, Mehmudullah and Mills chipped three wickets. Nawaz got only one wicket.

    Earliar on, Disciplined bowling performance by Mohammad Asghar (3/33), Wahab Riaz (2/17) and Hasan Ali (2/22) helped Peshawar Zalmi restrict Quetta Gladiators to 128 in a match of the Pakistan Super League at Dubai International Stadium on Saturday.

    Kevin Pietersen (41) and Rile Rossouw (38) put up a 86-run partnership, but soon after their departure Gladiators batting line collapsed, adding only 30 runs at the expense of six wickets.

    Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy won the toss and chose to bowl first.

    Peshawar Zalmi are unchanged from the previous match. Quetta, on the other hand, made two changes replacing Thisara Perera and Anwar Ali with Umar Gul and Tymal Mills.
    Whereas Peshawar Zalmi beat Lahore Qalandars by 17 runs in the thrilling at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
