Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is the most eligible bachelor among the country's cricketers and almost everyone in interested to know who will be the star cricketer's future wife.
Being one of the most famous cricketers, both at home and in the world, Babar's marriage has always been the talk of the town but fans' curiosity continues to simmer whenever one of his teammates gets married.
2023 was deemed as the 'year of marriage' for Pakistani cricketers as a number of national stars got married last year. However, there was no clue about who will be Babar's future wife despite reports of his engagement and anticipated wedding.
The matter came under discussion once again as the cricketing fraternity reunited under one roof on the occasion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) trophy reveal for the 9th season.
Following the ceremony, Multan Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan playfully brought out the topic during a chit-chat session with cricket presenter Zainab Abbas.
At this, Babar smiled and told Rizwan that he will speak to him on the matter when they will be "alone".
This prompted Zainab to further the discussion saying "everyone has got married", as she referred to Shaheen Afridi, Shan Masood and Shadab Khan, who recently got married.
However, Babar witfully dodged the question by saying: "Look at all of their faces."
At this, Shadab replied, "I am very happy [with my marriage]."
This conversation followed an interesting question from one of the attendees of the session.
"Will your bride be from Karachi?"
But again, Babar preferred staying quite and avoided answering the question with a smile.
