KARACHI: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has urged political forces of Pakistan to deal with militant groups, including Taliban, with an iron hand

In interview, son of the assassinated former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto spoke about his political ambitions. He call for a decisive military action against armed groups, not talks.

“I think we have been exhausted for the option of talks, we endorsed always as part of 3D policy, dialogue is always an option, but we will have to had a position of strength, how do you talk for a position of strength, you will have to beat them in the battlefield because they are fighting us,” he said.

To a question about a possible operation in North Waziristan, he said “they [Taliban] are not only confined at the North Waziristan, they are attacking us in Karachi where we have had the operation, we would like support from federation for that, we would like to eradicate the Taliban from Pakistan,” the young politician emphasized.

Reply to a question about PPP government’s failure in anti-Taliban war, he said “it hasn’t been tried [for success of the war], but the national consensus that we built has been absconded by politicians who said oh this is America’s war… this and that, who confused the issue on purpose because they are scared, they are coward, and the fact is that how long you will have to wait...”
