Spokesperson of Interior Ministry told that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has given an approval on Thursday to Sindh government’s request of extending special powers of Sindh Rangers’ in Karachi for next 90 days.
The Interior Minister approved the request and notification was issued according to which Rangers in Sindh will once again exercise their special powers in the provincial capital.

The powers were extended for 90 days according to the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997. The extension in powers was enforced from January 16, 2017.
