  • Karachi: Minor girl kidnapped by rickshaw driver recovered

    A three year old girl named Dua, who was kidnapped by a rickshaw driver yesterday, has been recovered from the Sohrab Goth area.

    A man named Muhammad Nabi called the Edhi Centre and informed them about the missing girl.

    The police and Edhi Centre staffers reached the Samanabad police station along with the recovered girl where she was handed over to her parents.

    The incident took place yesterday when a woman, Ambreen, was on her way to Surjani Town after visiting the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi in Clifton.

    She was accompanied by her sister and daughter, Dua.

    The rickshaw driver stopped near Federal B.

    Area Block-19 and asked the women to step outside claiming that the rickshaw had developed a fault.

    After a failed attempt to snatch money and valuables from them, the culprit kidnapped the girl.

    Late last night, the police also conducted raids in several areas of the city including North Nazimabad, Nusrat Bhutto Colony, New Karachi and Bilal Colony in search of abductee.
