Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to convert Jinnah Ground into its central election cell.
The move comes hours after PTI leader Imran Ismail was attacked by some MQM’s supporters at Jinnah Ground.
The PTI has submitted an application, seeking permission to hold a rally at Jinnah Ground for April 23 by-election. The rally will be addressed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Despite the attack, PTI leaders vowed to visit the area on daily basis to run the campaign for the by-election.
According to reports, MQM has set up tents at Jinnah Ground, where main leaders will sit and launch the campaign for the election.
