  • Karsaz tragedy: CID police claims to arrest two masterminds

    The CID police on Friday claimed to have arrested two masterminds of the Karsaz tragedy that took place on October 18, 2007.

    According to details, CID police in a successful raid in Shah Lateef Town arrested two members of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), who were said to be involved in blasts at PPP mass rally at Karsaz in 2007 and in the assassination of Bilal Sheikh, security in-charge of the former President Asif Ali Zardari.

    SP Usman Bajwa during a press conference on Friday told that the arrested culprits have some shocking revelations.

    He added that during investigation arrested miscreants confessed their involvement in some high-profile murders and terrorism activities.

    Bajwa further stated that special teams of the CID police have been constituted to conduct raids in different areas, in search of some other accomplices of the arrested terrorists.
