Passengers of a Islamabad-bound Pakistan International Airlines flight from Karachi, after facing a delay of more than two and a half hours, barred PPP leader Rehman Malik and a PMLN Member of National Assembly (NA) from boarding the aircraft.

A video available on social media websites shows the passengers forcing the two VIPs away from the aircraft amid chants and slogans.

PIA's flight PK-370 was scheduled to depart from Karachi's Jinnah International Airport at 7 pm but was delayed by more than two and a half hours.

Holding the former federal interior minister as responsible for the delay, irate passengers forced the PPP leader and PML-N MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar Wakwani, who was accompanying Rehman Malik, off the aircraft.

The flight departed for its destination without the two VIPs.
