Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has said the grouping that has been revealed among judges of lower courts is very disappointing, and will not be tolerated at any cost.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah expressed his views while addressing the ceremony given in the honor of lower courts’ judges who got promoted.

Justice Mansoor said that those judges are unfortunate who change their decisions over recommendations, and some verdicts have actually been altered. Institutions should be preferred to individuals, he added.

He made it clear that no recommendations should be accepted, and demanded all judges to work positively and provide justice to the applicants.

The chief justice LHC further said that those judges who want to earn money should quit this work and start their own business, as the job of judges is to serve people.

Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah let it be known that the word ‘fear’ is not in the dictionary of a judge. He said that a justice should not speak immoral words in the court. Justice Syed Mansoor further told that fair inquiry of judges on special duty (OSD) will be completed soon.

He also instructed the judges to come to courts like a groom, as there should be no compromise on the uniform. He also announced to increase the strength of female judges in the lower courts of Punjab, and told that the process of distribution of cars will also be started from female justices.
