Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have killed at least five terrorists in the wee hours of Sunday in Layyah.
CTD officials said that they conducted the raid on a tip-off in Layyah and when the personnel get closer to the terrorists’ hideout, they opened fire on them and resultantly five of the terrorists were killed.
The officials said that three of their accomplices were managed to flee by taking the advantage of darkness. Huge cache of arms, ammunition and maps of sensitive installations were recover from the hideout.
The sources said that the deceased terrorists were affiliated with the banned Jamaat-ul-Counter Terrorism DepartmentAhrar.
