    Pakistan Navy has taken responsibility as guard of national poet and historical figure, Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum on Pakistan Day.

    Commodore Salman Mehboob was the chief guest at the special ceremony.

    31-gun-salute was offered at dawn today in the federal capital while 21-gun-salute in the provincial capitals.

    At the stroke of Tuesday midnight, fireworks display was observed in several areas of Lahore,

    A spectacular fireworks display was held at Minar-e-Pakistan, Gulshan Park and Jillani Park.

    The sky lit with a kaleidoscope of colours while a huge gathering flocked Minar-e-Pakistan to view the spectacle and were greatly entertained.

    Citizens were seen raising different slogans including ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ (Long Live Pakistan) and waved the national flag.

    The nation is celebrating the national holiday in commemoration of Lahore Resolution of 1940 and the adoption of Pakistan’s first constitution today on 23rd of March 1956.
