Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says local government elections will help strengthen democracy and put the country on path of progress.
He was talking to media in Narowal after casting his vote on Saturday. He said local governments will help resolve problems of the public.
The Minister said the government is working on overcoming the energy shortage, elimination of terrorism and strengthening the economy.
Ahsan Iqbal said China Pakistan Economic Corridor has given a new hope for development and prosperity of the country.
