Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday admitted a petition challenging the prison sentence awarded to Model Town vandal Gullu Butt.
On October 30, an anti-terrorism court sentenced Butt to 11 years and three months in jail on the account of vandalism in Model Town. He was also ordered to pay a Rs0.1 million fine. Butt’s lawyer had said that the sentence was too harsh and had requested the court to make the sentence ineffective with immediate action.
