The Provincial Home Department of Punjab has imposed a ban on pillion riding all over the province on 9th and 10th Muharramul Harram.
The Home Department of Punjab restricted pillion riding in order to avoid any untoward incident in the province on account of Ashoora Muharram.
Meanwhile, provincial authorities have also decided to take assistance from the military and Rangers for maintaining security in 30 districts of Punjab.
The Home Department said that Rangers and police will start conducting flag march in sensitive districts from today, while the display of arms will also be prohibited in the province till Youm e Ashoor.
