    In a harrowing incident, a fire erupted on a metro bus near the Rahmanabad metro station in Rawalpindi on Saturday.

    Fortunately, prompt action by rescue and fire brigade personnel averted a major catastrophe.

    Eyewitnesses reported that the fire broke out in the engine of the metro bus, sending plumes of thick smoke into the air. Panic ensued among passengers as flames licked the bus’s interior. Quick-thinking passengers on board, identified as a courageous young girl and a man, jumped from the bus to escape the inferno and got injured.

    Rescue and fire brigade teams rushed to the scene within minutes, launching a swift and well-coordinated operation. Firefighters battled the flames with determination and managed to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further.

    According to a rescue spokesman, the girl and the man who jumped from the bus sustained serious injuries in the process. They were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Their condition is reported to be stable, thanks to the prompt response by emergency services.

    The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to ensure the safety of the metro bus fleet. Passengers are urged to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines while using public transportation.
