Imam-i-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammad Bin Ibrahim on Friday said that Islam is a religion of peace and love.
In his sermon at the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam’s (JUI-F) centenary celebrations in Azakhel area of Nowshera, Imam-i-Kaaba said that that success lies in the Quranic teachings and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Imam-i-Kaaba also led the prayers at the venue in which thousands of people participated.
Formally starting the ceremony, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that there is a need to control increasing incidents of terrorism and extremism.
He declared that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring economic prosperity and development in Pakistan.
JUI-F chief urged to strive for cordial relations with neighbouring country and solve Kashmir dispute.
On the occasion, Saudi religious affairs minister Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh said that alliance between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is Islam’s victory.
The Saudi minister said that terrorism and riots would not be accepted.
Delegations from India and Bangladesh were also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also expected to attend the first day of the ceremony whereas Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has also confirmed his participation.
On the other hand, security has been beefed as 25,000-strong volunteer security force has been formed while 6,000 people in plainclothes have also been deployed at the venue.
