    As the results of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly came out on Friday, members of political parties unleashed a fury of allegations against their opponents. Accusations were hurled at each other. Chief Minister (CM) KP Pervaiz Khattak went a step further and stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) members have put the buyers of votes to shame.

    The unofficial results finally allowed all political parties to breathe easily again. A process of pointing fingers and accusations began however. As the CM lambasted the vote buyers, the opposition started shouting slogans. PTI member replied back with befitting replies.

    Jamiat Ulema Islam’s (JUI) Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman stated that PTI had rigged the Senate elections and influenced the outcome.

    Newly elected Senator Javed Abbasi stated that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PLM-N) has managed to grab 2 seats. He stated that members of PML-N have proved that they can’t be bought.

    Jamat-e-Islami’s (JI) chief Siraj ul Haq stated that they will change the current election technique. The JI chief stated that solving KP’s problems is included in their priorities.
