  • Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar decides to break silence

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali has decided to break his silence regarding ongoing political situation arising out of the Panama case hearing. According to the Ministry of Interior, Chaudhry Nisar will hold a press conference on Sunday at 5 pm.

The interior minister last made a brief appearance in the cabinet’s meeting on July 13 and left early.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal quoted Chaudhry Nisaras referring to his 35 year-long association with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and describing his loyalty as an asset he was proud of in his political journey.

An hour, a spokesman of interior ministry disputed the minister’s remarks, saying that nothing unpleasant happened and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan did not walk out of the cabinet meeting. “We should avoid speculations and unrealistic comments with regard to remarks of interior minister during Cabinet meeting held on Thursday,” he said this in a statement issued here.

There was no validity or truth in news telecast on some media channels in this regard, he added.

The spokesman said Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan could not attend the parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz due to personal engagements as even before he also could not attend several parliamentary party meetings.
