Newly elected President Mamnoon Hussain took oath as 12th president of the country at a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr‚ Islamabad on Monday. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry administered the oath.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari was also presented in the ceremony, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Military leadership, members from federal cabinet, Opposition leader Khurshid Shah and Ambassadors were also attended the ceremony.
Mamnoon Hussain was elected with an overwhelming majority in the July 30th presidential elections as PML-N nominee. Mamnoon Hussain studied at the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi. Mamnoon Hussain remained Governor of Sindh from 19th June 1999 to 12th October 1999.
