    Afghan president Ashraf Ghani enquired about the health of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif through a telephone call on Saturday. Ghani informed PM Nawaz that the mastermind of the attack on the Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar, Umar Khurasani, has been killed.

    Ghani stated that Khurasani, along with 4 of his accomplices, were killed in an airstrike carried out by the allied forces. He added that the APS attack was a huge tragedy for Pakistan and the entire country, further stating that those responsible for the incident had met their fate.

    PM Nawaz conveyed his gratitude to Ghani over the killing of the terrorists behind the APS attack, adding that Pakistan was fighting the War on Terror and was committed in eradicating every single terrorist from its land.

    Prime Minister stated that the armed forces made remarkable sacrifices while fighting the war against the terrorists. PM Nawaz said that the terrorists were mutual enemies of Pakistan and Afghanistan, further stating that both countries can eliminate terrorism through mutual efforts.
