The funeral of Captain Umair Abdullah who was martyred on Saturday as a result of a clash with terrorists in Shawal was offered after his body was brought back to his native village Tharmithian Murree on Sunday.
Capt. Umair sacrificed his life for the motherland during an encounter with terrorists in Shawal. Umair’s last message before his martyrdom has been disclosed in which he assures the nation that most of the area has been cleared and that soon the operation will end successfully as it is entering its final phase.His funeral was offered at Peshawar Corps Headquarters.
Colonel retd. Khalid, father of martyred Capt. Umair, is extremely proud of his son’s achievement.Talking to the media, he said that he will not hesitate to send his younger son to another war front. His funeral prayer has been offered in his native village and the martyr has been laid to rest.
