A high level meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was chaired by Chairman PTI Imran Khan on Monday in which it was decided to start countrywide protests from February 6 against government policies.
According to the details, the meeting was attended by senior PTI leaders namely Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen, Chaudhry Sarwar, Naeemul Haque, Sheerin Mazari and Arif Alvi. PTI’s intraparty elections were discussed during the meeting. It was also decided to review the concerns of party workers facing cases.
It was decided in the meeting to start protest from February 6 on the government policies especially against enforcement of Gas Tax, Orange Train project and non transparent privatisation.
Speaking in the meeting Imran Khan said that PTI will not let the government target poor public with its policies. He said that tax amnesty scheme will only benefit a certain class. He expressed that it is injustice to put more tax burden on taxpayers.
Earlier in a tweet, Imran Khan said that he will be going with the protestors against Orange Train project. He accused Punjab government of changing the route of Orange Train to save the house of one of its minister which cause in demolishing the houses of poor Katchi Abadi residents.
