    Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that some political forces in the country are wary of its progress. He said that electricity shortage had been a problem for quite some time while some political parties have made it an issue just recently.

    Addressing the ceremony of launch of loans for small farmers, PM Nawaz said that some ‘enemies of the state’ could not digest the Pak-China economic corridor.

    He said that his government does not mind the criticism and would endeavour to continue the journey to progress.

    Talking about government’s policy of countering terrorism, PM said military courts had been established in addition to passing stringent laws.

    He strongly condemned the tragedy of Safoora Chowrangi, saying that patriotic people of the country had been shot in the incident.

    Nawaz Sharif said that energy crisis is being managed by establishment of new projects adding that government is using its meager resources to counter problems.

    Talking about the loan scheme to the farmers, PM said that opportunity would be given to farmers to increase the productivity through credit guarantee scheme.

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that his government had taken the mantle when the graph of economy was going down adding that the economic outlook of country is getting better.
