ISLAMABAD: Leading a massive rally of protesters marching on Prime Minister House, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri made a passionate appeal to the people of Pakistan to come out their houses for the future of their generations, as this can be the last chance for them to save the country.

The PAT chief remarked that straight gunshots are being fired at the peaceful workers; but, the Inqilab March will continue its advance towards PM House.

“We were peaceful; but, police demonstrated barbarity, recklessly spraying rubber bullets and tear-gas shells on the people,” he remarked.

“My vehicle came under police attack with intense shelling,” the PAT chief informed adding, “Had we been chicken-hearted, we would not have stood up for revolution for the rights of the poor.”

Dr. Qadri maintained the PAT had no plan to head towards President House; however, the march on the PM House is steadily in progress.

It should be mentioned here that Imran Khan and Dr. Qadri made a unanimous decision to make joint headway towards PM House; however, the riot police started bludgeoning the peaceful protesters with unprecedented firing of rubber bullets and shelling of tear-gas. The scuffles between eyes-rubbing protesters and fully equipped personnel of security forces, continued through the night, resulting in heavy casualties.

According to hospital sources, at least 300 people including women and children, sustained light to serious wounds. Police overnight stormed the hospitals and tried to shift the slightly injured people to jail
