    Minister of State Shaza Fatima Khawaja of the PML-N has been assigned the portfolio of the IT and Telecommunication Ministry.

    The announcement came through an official notification issued by the principal secretary, acting on the directives of the prime minister.

    Previously, when the portfolios allocated to federal ministers were announced on Monday night, Shaza Fatima's was the only name from among all the minister who took oath, which did not feature on the list.

    On Monday night, the federal government officially announced the portfolios for its ministers. Among the key appointments, Khawaja Asif has been designated as the minister for defence, defense production, and aviation, as per an official notification. Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar has been entrusted with the crucial portfolio of the Foreign Ministry.

    Azam Nazeer Tarar will once again lead the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights. Ahsan Iqbal takes the reins of the Ministry of Planning and Development for the fourth time, while Qaiser Sheikh takes control of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

    The new federal minister for information and broadcasting is Attaullah Tarar. Rana Tanveer Hussain will steer the Ministry of Industries and Production, while Abdul Aleem Khan takes charge of the Privatization Ministry and Board of Investment.

    Muhammad Aurangzeb will lead the Finance Ministry, Awais Leghari will oversee Railways, while Riaz Pirzada has been appointed as the federal minister for housing, according to the notification.

    Amir Maqam has taken charge as the minister of state for states and frontier regions and border affairs as well as national heritage. Chaudhry Salik Hussain has been designated as the minister for overseas Pakistanis and human resource development.

    Ahmad Cheema has been entrusted with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, while Mohsin Naqvi assumes the position of federal interior minister.

    Shaza Fatima Khawaja had taken the oath of office as a minister of state, however, her name was missing from the list of portfolios.

    On March 11, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had forwarded a list of proposed federal cabinet members to President Asif Zardari, indicating a significant step in the formation of the new government. Later that day, the president administered oath to the 19-member cabinet.
