The Frontier Corps (FC) seized a large quantity of explosive materials, suicide jackets and detonators from two illegal bomb factories in Chaman and Tuba Achakzai.
Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Major General Ijaz Shahid and Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Nasser Khan Janjua said during a press conference that seven suicide jackets, 150 Improvised Explosive Device (IED) switches, 2 prima card coils, five kilogrammes of ball bearings as well as 17,500 explosive sticks, 8 meter safety pins, 1,364 electric circuits, 5,680 small detonators, 3,300 large detonators, 1,650 anti-tank mines and 23 rockets were seized during the operation.
526kg of potassium chloride and other weapons were also found and seized. Modern laboratories were found in both factories where they were experimenting with explosives and chemicals.
