The government on Tuesday approved a reduction of Rs.2.94 in per litre price of petrol.
Ministry of Petroleum gave the approval following a summary moved by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) which recommended a slight cut in per litre rates of petroleum products for October.
After government’s go-ahead, the per litre petrol price will be reduced by Rs2.94, that of kerosene oil by Rs1.31, high speed diesel Rs0.95, light diesel Rs0.67 and high octane by Rs1.88.
However, a notification to this effect will formally be issued later today.
