The Punjab caretaker government has decided to allocate Rs25 billion to offer subsidized electric bikes to students through easy installments, aiming to mitigate the effects of smog in the province.

A total of 10,000 students from colleges and universities will be able to get these e-bikes easy loans.

The government has finalised a plan in this regard. The Chairman of the Planning and Development (P&D) Board has scheduled a meeting for tomorrow, Wednesday, to discuss this matter.

Following the Chairman’s meeting, the acting Caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, is expected to provide his approval.
