  • Sit-in in Shuweika suburb in solidarity with Na'alwa family

Scores of Palestinian citizens on Friday participated in a sit-in staged in Shuweika suburb, north of Tulkarem, in solidarity with the family of Ashraf Na’alwa, whose home is threatened with demolition.

The Israeli occupation army has threatened to demolish the house of this family as a punitive measure after their son, Ashraf, carried out a shooting operation a few weeks ago in Barkan industrial area, killing two Jewish settlers and injuring others.

One of the participants in the sit-in said that the local residents have a duty to support the family of Na’alwa and stand by them in their difficult times, adding that showing solidarity with the family of Ashraf annoys the Israeli occupation.

The Israeli army recently kidnapped members of Ashraf’s family to pressure him to turn himself in and carries out daily campaigns in Shuweika and different areas of Tulkarem to look for him.
