United Nations says the recent indignities faced by people in Palestine have painted the bleakest picture yet of human rights situation there.

The United Nations rights expert Michael Lynk in his monitoring report has listed concerns such as Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank and the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

He said the residents in Palestine are deprived of their most basic rights, including health, education, and most recently, in attempting to exercise their right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, they were deprived of the right to live.
