Google has announced a free virtual workshop in a bid to help Pakistani businesses cope with remote working and transition into digital platforms as the country faces restrictions on movement due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“It’s a course developed from our Grow with Google programme that we have transitioned virtually during the COVID-19 restricted movement period,” read the press release issued by Google on Thursday.
While facilitating those who cannot attend the workshop virtually, the tech giant has also given an option for downloading the self-study app instead through which business owners — who are unable to attend these virtual workshops — can turn to the Google Primer app for fast and easy lessons that can be done in just five minutes.
"Primer offers several hundred lessons in business, marketing, management, and more, along with personalised next steps to put your new skills to work right away," read Google's statement.
Additionally, entrepreneurs can also find more tips and recommendations to help them grow their business on the Grow with Google website. This will enable businesses to discover new skills and knowledge such as getting customised recommendations to improve websites or a better understanding of customers, to help businesses evolve and succeed online.
According to the official communique, the workshops will focus on handy digital tools as well as tips and tricks for small businesses that are looking for ways to connect and stay in touch with both customers and employees.
Each hour-long session will be conducted live by Google trainers. Moreover, the timetables for the workshops are also shared on the website.
