Smartphone maker Samsung is expected to unveil a new Note phablet later this year, however, a tweet from the South Korean manufacturer may have accidentally revealed the upcoming device.

Using its official Twitter account, Samsung tweeted a promotional picture of its latest Exynos 8895 chipset that is currently available on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, what’s more interesting is the smartphone featured on the promotion alongside the chipset is neither of the well-known flagships.

The device in the picture features Samsung’s trademark Infinity Display with even smaller bezels than the current flagship. In addition to this, the device also falls in line with earlier rumours and renderings that suggest a more square design and larger display compared to the S8, and can quite possibly be the upcoming phablet.

However, Samsung has not released an official statement in the matter and therefore the smartphone could quite possibly be a generic image that the company used to promote the chipset.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Note 8 before the end of the month, with plans to launch the phone and have it in stores as early as August 23 to beat the iPhone 8 to market.
