Paris St Germain forward, Neymar, faces a ban after the Brazilian was charged by UEFA, for an online expletive-laden rant against match officials, following his team’s shock Champions League loss to Manchester United.

Neymar, who was sidelined by injury, was investigated for lashing-out and cursing at the Video Assistant Referee. He was furious after Man United eliminated his team on the away goals rule, courtesy of a last-gasp controversial penalty, which was awarded by the referee following a lengthy discussion with VAR.

UEFA said he had been, with the date of his hearing yet to be confirmed. According to UEFA regulations, Neymar, the world's most expensive player after his $263 million transfer from Barcelona in 2017, could now face a three-match suspension in the Champions League.
