The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to shift the three PSL games originally scheduled in Lahore to Karachi.

“All eight PSL matches are likely to be held in Karachi now. PCB will make a final announcement soon,” said the source.

Karachi's National Stadium was originally scheduled to host five matches of the fourth edition of PSL, including the final on March 17. However, some uncontrollable developments due to closure of Lahore’s airspace have forced the PCB to make this decision.

PCB had last week announced to go ahead with the initial plan to have all eight matches in Pakistan, after the tensions at the border between neighbours Pakistan and India.

Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, when asked about the possibility of Karachi hosting all the PSL matches of the Pakistan leg of the tournament, confirmed that the metropolis will be the venue for all of the last eight matches.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to make a formal announcement on the matter within the next 24 hours.
