Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has decided to attend the farewell ceremony that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to organize in his honor.
According to details, the ceremony will be hosted on September 14 in Lahore during the tour of World XI to acknowledge the contribution three former skippers of Pakistan; Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi.
Let it be known that Afridi had earlier refused to participate in the event, but has now agreed to become a part of it. It has further been learnt that all three legends of the game will also be awarded with prizes in the event.
The decision of conducting a farewell during World XI’s tour has been taken by PCB Chairman Najam Sethi to ensure the presence of international stars on the graceful occasion.
